G Dev Toolbox
Last updated: June 24, 2026
G Dev Toolbox does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Ever.
This privacy policy describes how G Dev Toolbox ("the app") handles information on your device. The app is developed and maintained by Gabriel Castillo as an independent project.
G Dev Toolbox collects no data of any kind. Specifically:
All functionality runs entirely on your device. Nothing leaves your Mac.
G Dev Toolbox uses macOS Screen Recording solely to power two on-screen tools: the Loupe (magnifier) and the Color Picker. When one of these tools is active, the app reads the current contents of your display using Apple's ScreenCaptureKit framework so it can magnify the area around your cursor or read the color value of the pixel under your cursor. This screen content is processed entirely on your device and only in memory. It is never saved to disk, never transmitted off your device, and never shared with the developer or any third party. Each captured frame is held only momentarily and is continuously replaced by the next frame; all captured data is discarded as soon as the tool is turned off or the app quits.
The app requests only one macOS permission. All processing happens locally on your device and the data is never stored or transmitted.
The app saves two preferences to your local device using macOS standard storage (NSUserDefaults): your selected zoom level for the Loupe tool and your preferred ruler unit. These values never leave your Mac.
G Dev Toolbox does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics services, advertising networks, or data brokers. The app makes no network connections, so no data is ever shared with anyone.
G Dev Toolbox does not collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
